Professor Genevieve LeBaron has been ranked #15 in the 2018 Annual UK Top100 Corporate Modern Slavery Influencers’ Index. The list provides recognition to individuals taking great steps to raise awareness of modern slavery and labour exploitation, through promoting ethical sourcing and human rights in supply chains.

The list which was announced at an event in London on September 26th was facilitated by BRE (a research-led building science centre) and Sustainable Worldwide (a strategic communications business specialising in environmental sectors and sustainability).

The list includes people from agricultural, fashion, construction, retail and hospitality industries, as well as from journalism and academia. Professor Kevin Bales of The University of Nottingham, whose recent work has focused on producing global estimates and statistics regarding modern slavery, was ranked #1 in the list.
