Professor Genevieve LeBaron gave a public lecture as part of the University of Manchester’s Global Development Institute’s annual lecture series in May 2019.

The lecture addressed key findings relating to the demand for forced labour in global agricultural supply chains, how businesses profit from forced labour, and the effectiveness of CSR, ethical certification and the law in combating forced labour and modern slavery in global supply chain. 

Other speakers in the series throughout the 2018-19 programme include Professor Bina Agarwal and former Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark.
